The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is a land-grant university. Land-grant universities were established by the Morrill Act of 1862, which granted acres of federal land to state universities as long as the universities followed criteria of training and research that would give back to the state.

Larsen Tractor Museum

Formerly the Lester F. Larsen Tractor Test and Power Museum, the name was shortened in 2010 to Larsen Tractor Museum. This museum is a facility of the University of Nebraska State Museum. The Lester F. Larsen Tractor Test and Power Museum was established in 1980 to showcase technological advancements in agricultural technology and is housed in the original Nebraska Tractor Test facility at 35th and Fair streets on East Campus

The formal name is the University of Nebraska College of Law. Nebraska Law is acceptable on second reference. The college is in McCollum Hall on East Campus.

Lentz Collection for Asian Culture

This is a museum within the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts. It is dedicated to the study of Asian culture and is at 1155 Q St. in Hewit Place.
