Nebraska Breastfeeding Coalition

The Nebraska Breastfeeding Coalition is a network of individual members and organizational partners dedicated to improving the health of Nebraskans by making breastfeeding the norm through education, advocacy and collaboration. They work together to share information and partner in activities to increase breastfeeding rates across the state.

Milkworks

MilkWorks is a non-profit community breastfeeding center. They offer knowledgeable, compassionate staff who develop trusting relationships with clients. Their goal is to provide each mom with the care she needs to meet her personal feeding goals. They know that breastfeeding is seldom perfect, and they understand that each mother and baby have unique breastfeeding concerns.

The Breastfed Babies Welcome Here! resource contains communication tools Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) operators can use to let mothers and families know that breastfed babies are welcome at their child care site. It includes a mother's guide, 11"x17" poster, and a message graphic.

USDA - Feeding Infants in CACFP

Feeding Infants in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guide is a training tool for CACFP operators with infants enrolled at their child care site. It covers topics such as the infant meal pattern, developmental readiness, hunger and fullness signs, handling and storing breastmilk and infant formula, solid foods, what is creditable in the infant meal pattern, and much more. Breastmilk Storage

The Nebraska Child Care Licensing Regulations for child care facilities have established stricter breastmilk storage guidelines than the recommended guidelines for families to use in their own home. The goal of this document is to help families and child care providers follow the appropriate breastmilk storage guidelines.
