Who can borrow digital equipment from Media Services

Current UNL students can check out any of the the digital equipment listed below.

UNL faculty and staff can check out most digital equipment listed below except for webcams.

If you are a UNL Faculty and Staff and need a webcam, you are encouraged to contact your department.

Where to check out digital equipment in Love Library

Most digital equipment is available at Media Services, located in Love Library, 2nd Floor, Link.

Before you can checkout equipment you will need to:

Once a year - submit the Equipment User Agreement form.
Bring your NCard every time you check out equipment.

If you need help understanding a piece of equipment you are checking out, ask for a short orientation and we will train you on how to use and handle that equipment.

According to Nebraska State Drone Laws, all pilots are required to take the Recreational UAS Safety Test and acquire a drone flying pilot license before flying a drone.

In order to fly the Libraries MAVIC AIR DRONE please read through the information on the following website and take The Recreational UAS Safety Test training to obtain your license: https://uavcoach.com/faa-recreational-drone-training/

All patrons must show valid license prior to equipment check out.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is NOT liable in any way if an operator fails to obtain a pilot license and breaks Nebraska State Law.
The operator takes full responsibility if any fines incur.
If the Drone is confiscated, the operator takes full responsibility to pay for or provide a replacement to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Media Services Department.
