effectively address collegiate alcohol and drug abuse prevention, mental
health, sexual violence prevention and response, and well-being through

Missouri Partners in Prevention’s Meeting of the Minds presents: Spring 2021 Virtual
Training Series, March 5, 2021 to May 7, 2021. Meeting of the Minds is a regional prevention
and health education conference for college and university peer educators, their advisors,
administrators, and campus and community law enforcement. However, due to COVID-19, we are
unable to gather in person. Therefore, this year the Meeting of the Minds Conference is
sponsoring a nine week training series, featuring 5 tracks, a leadership weekend for peer
educators and their advisors, and a Fraternity/Sorority Life Leadership Day. For more

HIGHLIGHTS
- The NECPA has received funding from the Nebraska Department of Transporation, Highway Safety
Office and the Department of Health & Human Services, Behavioral Health Division to continue
providing support to our members in developing strategies to reduce and prevention high-risk
drinking and substance use among Nebraska college students.
- We are excited to welcome Alex Brown as our new NECPA Project Manager. Alex previously worked
with the NECPA as the Coordinator for the Omaha Collegiate Consortium. We are thrilled to have
Alex’s expertise in data analysis and evaluation and prevention in the coalition statewide. Feel

JOIN THE NECPA
The NECPA Currently includes 26 institutions of higher education in Nebraska, including private and public colleges and universities as well as community colleges and proprietary colleges. NECPA members use strategic and comprehensive environmental approaches to reduce high-risk drinking and the negative effects of excessive alcohol use. The only criterion for membership is the written commitment of the top administrator to support his/her personnel in efforts to reduce high-risk drinking among the institutionʼs students.

The NECPA is funded in part by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Behavioral Health Division, the Nebraska Department of Transportation, Highway Safety Office, and coordinated by the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
