Paula Rotschafer is a recent graduate of the Art History Department at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, specializing in nineteenth-century American art. Paula's thesis explored three print images of sea serpents published during the nineteenth century and the cultural, scientific, and social circumstances that surrounded the numerous sea serpent sightings off the New England and Mid-Atlantic coast between 1840 and 1880.

She is currently working on the Trans-Mississippi Exposition.
