UNL Information Technology Services is committed to providing web publishers a fast, reliable, feature-rich web content management system. UNLcms is a software system which provides content creators a greatly simplified way to create and maintain websites for their college, department, unit or student group. UNLcms is designed to allow people with no knowledge of web programming or markup to create and manage their site's content with considerably less effort than before, allowing web publishers to concentrate on quality and timeliness of content.
If you're interested in starting a site on UNLcms, or moving your site to UNLcms, you might want to browse our How-to Video Library, hosted on UNLcms's video-hosting sister app, UNLmediahub.
UNLcms is open to all UNL colleges, departments/units, project, faculty and student organizations. Based on the open-source Drupal content management system, UNLcms is developed through a partnership led by Information Technology Services and University Communications, with other collaborators involved through the UNL Web Developer Network.
Development of UNLcms is continuous. Discussion and announcements on UNLcms feature enhancements and the system's evolving development
roadmap are a regular part of the monthly meeting agenda of the WDN, held on the second Tuesday of each month at 2pm in the Nebraska
Union. If you think you have what it takes to contribute to the programming behind UNLcms, please see the Developers page on this site for more
