The SNR Graduate Student Association is the group that serves graduate students within the School of Natural Resources. All students enrolled in a graduate program within SNR are automatically members of SNR GSA, no dues are required. This means that YOU can get involved and help improve the organization and our activities! We organize a few main events that take place each year, and a number of other smaller events.

At the beginning of the Fall semester in August we host an Orientation for incoming and returning students. The prupose of the Orientation is to ensure students have the most up-to-date information about programs at the University, health care options, and opportunities available through SNR GSA and other avenues (such as travel funding or professional development).

We do Outreach in to educate the community about natural resources and science. Recently we have organized natural resource education activities for middle school students with the Irving Middle School Science Club, and we have participated in educating kids about science through BioBlitz.

We also have monthy social events where you can get to know other graduate students in SNR. There are a lot of us, and we are spread all over the building, so this is a great way to get to know others and build community within the program.
