Jenna Jaynes and Cade McFadden win national scholarships from the Broadcast Education Association

Congratulations to Jenna Jaynes and Cade McFadden, two University of Nebraska-Lincoln students, who won national scholarships from the Broadcast Education Association.

Jaynes and McFadden are among two of nine students from eight different campuses to have received scholarships in the BEA 2013-2014 competition.

Jaynes, a junior from Bartlett, Ill., is the recipient of a $1,500 BEA Founders Scholarship. McFadden, a junior from Paxton, is the recipient of a $1,500 John Bayliss Award. Both are majoring in broadcast journalism.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must show substantial evidence of superior academic performance and should possess high integrity and a well-articulated sense of personal and professional responsibility.

The scholarships are awarded to juniors, seniors and graduate students at BEA Member institutions. The awards will cover tuition, student fees, and university costs at campuses.

Well done Jenna and Cole on earning these nationally competitive scholarships!
