Six University of Nebraska advertising students collaborated with the Lincoln Journal Star to develop, market and launch a new and informative text messaging product. The text blast service, or LJStar, is among cutting edge mobile technology. With their proposed platform in place, LJStar will allow the consumer to send a text to LJStar with questions about food, entertainment or employment in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The initial launch of LJStar is set for summer 2008. In the future the Lincoln Journal Star and the Media Sales students hope that LJStar will be the local industry leader for on demand information.
