Learn how to navigate the real world of journalism in a special course developed and presented by Omaha World-Herald professionals.
The one-credit hour course, to be offered during the fall semester, will target College of Journalism and Mass Communications students who are interested in pursuing a career in reporting, writing and editing at newspapers and their online editions. Among the topics to be covered: breaking down information roadblocks, developing sources and story ideas and balancing career and personal life.
Student who complete the course may be awarded a scholarship by the Omaha World-Herald.
The course - NEWS 498 Special Topics: The Real World - will be offered on Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. in Andersen Hall 335. The course is open only to those journalism majors who have completed News 202.
