JNews goes Platinum


NOVEMBER 1, 2007 - The University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications' alumni publication, J Alumni News, won a 2007 Platinum MarCom Award. The international awards competition recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals.

There were more than 5,000 entries throughout the United States and several foreign countries in the 2007 competition. About 18 percent of the entries won the Platinum Award, the organization's top honor.

MarCom Awards is administered and judged the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.

Winners were selected from more than 200 categories in seven forms of media and communication efforts - marketing, publications, marketing / promotion, public service / pro bono, creativity and electronic / interactive.
