Regents/David Scholars abundant in COJMC

Twenty journalism students hold Regents Scholarships or David Scholarships at UNL for the 1993-94 academic year. These students are among the top Nebraska scholars attending UNL.

Regents Scholarships, worth full tuition for up to 135 hours of course work, and David Scholarships, worth $1,000 per year for up to four years, are awarded to students by means of a scholarship index developed by the UNL Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.

Students are ranked on the basis of their high school class standing and their ACT or SAT scores. Approximately 300 Regents Scholarships and 120 David Scholarships were awarded for the current school year.

To retain the scholarship, a student must earn a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have recorded at least 24 credit hours during the academic year.
