Google Maps
- “Claim Your Location” in Google. You will need to have a Google Account.
- Search for your business on Google Maps. Check out the information listed under the search bar. Click on “Are you the business owner?” to claim your listing.
- If your business isn’t listed, then you can create a listing at Google Places and click “Get on Google.”

Bing Maps
- “Claim your Location” on Bing. You will need a Microsoft account to claim your business listing on Bing.
- Search for your business at Bing Places. If your business is listed, click on the “Select” button. You will be able to see the listing information and update it.
- IIf your business is not listed, just go to the Bing Places Dashboard to create a new listing.

Yahoo Maps
- Yahoo would like to offer you a premium service to enhance your listing. You can update your business on Yahoo maps for free. First you will need to create a Yahoo account.
- Go to Yahoo Small Business and look for the “Try Local Basic Listing for Free.” This will allow you to search for your business and either claim the listing or create a new listing.

Yelp
- You may want to consider updating business information on Yelp. Find and Claim your Yelp Business or sign up and Create a Free Account.

Mobile Maps
- Maps on mobile devices are more a function of the downloaded apps in use. Test different map apps on your device and see which ones give the best results and offer the features you are looking for.

- ExpressUpdate provides point of interest data to the leading in-car navigation systems and many other companies.
- Navteq map data (now called Here Maps for Life) can be found in mobile and web applications such as Bing and Yahoo maps as well as many dashboard navigation systems in North America and Europe.
