The Wondrous Metaphysical Kermit T. Frog and the Inhabitants of Baby Land (21/111/3001) is a commentary on societies' constant need to implement technology into our everyday world. The main theme we wanted to follow was the need for the human race to find a harmony between advancing technology and the natural. We did this through the use of Liminal Reality which is the space between where we were and where we can grow to be. We wanted to display the kind of duality that can come from natural worlds and digital worlds colliding. We experimented with the aesthetic of television sets, liminal-reality, hyper-reality, and the idea of the mechanical man. The motion capture data within the TV was data we captured weeks ago from the dancers before they both tested positive for Covid-19. Because of this, we valued the past motion data recording and applied to the live performance as it acted as a time capsule. The live performance became a reflection on their past selves and movement within a technological world.
