Due to changes in the athletic training industry, athletic training programs nationwide (including Nebraska’s) are in a period of transition as they move from undergraduate to graduate level training. As such, majoring in athletic training is no longer an option for incoming undergraduate students at any college or university.
The Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences has identified the Nutrition, Exercise and Health Science (NEHS) option as the best degree program for students wishing to pursue a master's degree in athletic training. This program offers many of the necessary pre-requisites required by UNL's Athletic Training master's degree program. For more information, visit: go.unl.edu/gomc.
