The Family and Consumer Sciences Occupational (6 - 12) option is ideal for students who have a strong desire to teach and advance skillsets needed in daily life, such as human development and family studies; early childhood education; nutrition and food science; hospitality, restaurant and tourism management; textiles, merchandising and fashion design; and housing and interior design, among others. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be recommended for a secondary occupational certification in Family & Consumer Sciences education to teach grades 6-12.
