Assistantships and Internships

Assistantships

Undergraduate Research Assistantships

Digital humanities faculty and fellows are looking for UNL undergraduates to participate in paid research assistantships through the University's UCARE program. Some opportunities are posted on the UCARE project list though there may be others available.

Graduate Research Assistantships

Digital Humanities assistanships may be available through the CDRH endowment, funded in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities and private donations.

Graduate Internships

Internships are held during the summer and offer an individual a broad overview of digital scholarship. These can be combined with independent study or arranged through departmental or project partnerships at UNL. Graduate internships are funded in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities and private donations.

For graduate student opportunities, please send inquiries to Andrew Jewell.

Undergraduate Student Employment

For undergraduate employment in CDRH, please contact Laura Weakly for application details.

Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Center for Digital Research in the Humanities may host postdoctoral fellows as funding allows. Funding has been received from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries, the Lawrence and Susan Hardin Wood fund, the National Endowment for the Humanities and other private donations.

CDRH has hosted several Council of Library and Information Resources (CLIR) fellows in the past. Individuals have contributed to the development of Civil War Washington, the Walt Whitman Archive, and Social Media planning within the Center.

When fellowships are available, they will be advertised in January or February each year for the following summer or academic year.
