Hanna is a sixth-year graduate student and doctoral candidate in the Clinical Psychology Training Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  Her program of research focuses on improving responses to sexual violence disclosure, understanding predictors of bystander behaviors, and developing and evaluating interventions to prevent sexual violence. She recieved funding for her dissertation through a NIH Great Plains IDeA-CTR Pilot Grant, in collaboration with Dr. DiLillo. Her dissertation is an evaluation of a novel motivational interviewing (MI) intervention to increase bystander behaviors in response to sexual risk. 

Her clinical work has been largely informed by her research endeavors. Throughout many community partnerships, Hanna has provided assessments, treatments, and consultation services to survivors of physical abuse, sexual vicitimizaiton, and childhood neglect.  She has a particular focus in utilizing an evidence-based practice framework to drive her treatment work with trauma survivors.

Hanna graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 2015 with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. During her undergraduate career, Hanna worked as a research assistant studying revictimization of childhood sexual abuse. She recieved a Masters of Arts in Psychology through the Clinical Psychology Training Program in 2018. Her masters thesis focused on understanding and improving negative responses to sexual violence disclosure.
