Doctoral Research Assistant positions:

If you are considering CSE Bioinformatics program as a Ph.D student, please send me a brief email in plain text about yourself, your resume and research interests.

For students with extensive programming experiences, please send any of your sample work (software, technical reports, web sites, research papers, etc.)



Master Degree's Students:

Our lab provides research opportunities to Thesis Master Degree's students in the areas of Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Mining and Machine Learning.  Please contact Dr. Cui for more information.



Undergraduate Research Assistant positions:

CSE Undergraduate students with extensive programming are encouraged to make an appointment with Dr. Cui to talk about possible research opportunities.

Student from other Life Science Units are also encouraged to talk about UCARE opportunity in cancer/obesity research

 

A Post-doc position in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics is now available:

A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, NE

The primary goal of the position is to develop statistical methods and computational models for causality analysis and network inference based on genomic data collected in various biomedical systems.  

Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline, and has strong quantitative research background, statistical and programming proficiency, as well as good written and oral communication skills. Experience with data mining, machine learning and Bayesian statistics is expected.
