Nicole Gray CV

Nicole Gray is an assistant professor and a digital archivist in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries. She has contributed to a number of projects affiliated with the Center for Digital Research in the Humanities, including as a project manager and contributing editor for The Walt Whitman Archive, a project specialist for the Genoa Indian School Digital Reconciliation Project, and an issue editor for the 2017 issue of Scholarly Editing: The Annual of the Association for Documentary Editing.

Gray has a M.A. in Library and Information Science from the University of Arizona and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Texas at Austin, and she did her undergraduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her essays about editing, archives, media, and nineteenth-century U.S. literature have appeared in a range of journals, including Digital Humanities Quarterly, Archivaria, PMLA, and Rhetoric Society Quarterly.
